Job Title - Coordinating Producer

Principle partner in producing an independent, feature-length documentary, FINDING OUR VOICES, in partnership with Dream Catcher Films, Inc. Release date: May 1, 2008. To date, the film will be screened at 3 film festivals during the summer. Distribution is pending.

 

Production: Participated in story development, determining footage content and editing the narration script. Assisted the film editing process by finding and supplying material from my personal work as well as finding and securing stock footage and photographs. Managed the script and other documents. Shared oversight of titling and credits, the online edit and sound mix.

           

Cinematographer and Still Photographer: Covered over 200 venues including spontaneous news events as they unfolded, formal and informal interviews, B roll, and speaking engagements in DVCam and Mini-DV formats. Simultaneously shot still photography at both informal and formal events.

 

Website Development: Designed, implemented and managed the film’s website, contributing the majority of content including video, photos, graphics and copy. Review at: http://www.findingourvoices.com/

 

Promotion and Marketing: Designed multimedia and printed materials including video shorts, PowerPoint presentations, flyers, postcards, DVD wrap and poster. Designed and organized community events. Secured locations, established the program, arranged for speakers, managed logistics, and coordinated public relations. Presented materials and the film to large and small groups.

 

Fundraising: Personally secured $42,000 from individual donors and investors out of a total of $65,000 raised by a 3-person team.

Job Title - Senior Information Security Analyst

Department of Defense (DoD) contractor security analyst providing consultation to the U.S. Navy AEGIS Program Manager in support of Guided Missile Cruiser and Destroyer procurement and acquisition programs. Specialized in threat assessment, countermeasures, classification and program protection planning.

 

AEGIS Program Manager Support: Ensured program compliance with all information security regulations and concurrence with NATO, DoD, MDA, DON, NAVSEA, and SM/2-3 security classification guides. Integrated on-going changes in the AEGIS INFOSEC regime. Settled interpretation issues and managed controversies pertaining to the AEGIS Weapon System security classification guide. Represented the program office in review processes.

 

Technical Support and Consultation to Contracting Officers and Program Analysts: Prepared draft DD Form 254 for 150 plus active contracts and managed biyearly updates. Wrote the AEGIS Instruction on preparing DD Form 254 and tutored government personnel to complete the process. Represented Contracting Officers on sensitive information security issues when dealing with contractors.

 

AEGIS Program/NAVSEA/SECNAV/Contractor Information Security Liaison: Managed and led the AEGIS, MK-7 Security Classification Guide update every 5 years. Established and maintained a database of current security classification guide applicable to the AEGIS Program. Wrote the Threat Assessment and Countermeasures sections of the joint AEGIS/SM/2-3 Program Protection Plan (PPP). Represented the AEGIS systems engineering activity on cross-program working groups requiring information security expertise. Resolved classification inconsistencies or interpretive conflicts surrounding radar, telemetry, missiles, guns, hardware/software.

Managed four health fair projects from start to finish in Tallahassee, Florida, Detroit, Michigan, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the State of Kansas. Supervised 7 employees and oversaw a combined budget of $600,000. Lead in fundraising, hiring, strategic development, formation of the project sponsor team, liaison between projects and the national office, political liaison, and project/employee evaluations.

 

Job Title - Partnership Program Director

Designed, implemented and managed a business/education pilot program in Florida, Kansas, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Colorado and California. Program supporters included the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, the State of Florida, Governor’s Office, ARCO Oil, Chevron and hundreds of regional or local organizations.

 

Job Title - National Laboratory Services Director

Negotiated and managed 15 laboratory contracts worth $4 million to provide 500,000 low-cost blood tests to the public over a year. Organized staff and contacted 4,000 health fair participants with critical values within 24 hours of test results referring them to local providers. Conducted follow-up to ensure participants sought medical services.

 

Job Title - Student Health Fair Co-Director

Assisted in program design and publication of a manual, designed brochures, flyers and other promotional materials, managed pilot projects, wrote proposals for funding and in-kind sponsorship, and conducted training of project directors and community volunteers.

Job Title - Assistant to the 9 Health Fair Project Director

Managed specific project startup functions including logistics, training, the newsletter, a resource guide, answering the phone and following up, form and training guide printing and distribution, speaking at community meetings, managing health fair sites that needed additional leadership and more. Thirty years later, the 9 Health Fair continues to serve approximately 58,000 people in Colorado yearly.

Position Title - Group Leader

Co-facilitated a weekly meeting of LGBT parishioners. The group led a campaign that resulted in the church declaring itself a Welcoming Congregation, sent representatives to the diocese governing body to champion LGBT issues and participated with other churches to bring same-sex marriage to the floor at the national Episcopal General Convention in 1996.
