attention...
Producer Holly
Stadtler just returned from a successful wolf
tracking trip to Canada, is working with a
group of Vermont filmmakers on a documentary,
and will host screenings of
Finding Our Voices
around the 6th anniversary of the US led
invasion into Iraq (3/2009). Here is
more about the 3 interests:
Wolves...I traveled with
11 other naturalists to Algonquin Provincial
Park in Canada to track wolves, led by wild
canid ecologist Christine Schadler. We
were privileged to observe a fisher and wolves
feeding on a moose carcass several days, pine
martens in the wild and to interpret the
stories of fox, mink and other animals in the
snow from tracks. Trip photos are on
zenfolio at: http://dreamcat.zenfolio.com/p257124442
Alarmingly, wolves out
west are in danger. Recently, Sec.
of the Interior Salazar stripped
protection from wolves in the
Rockies, following in the Bush
Administration's footsteps. Don't let
state sponsored killing sessions destroy
packs. Last year the population in
Yellowstone (which I've been excited to watch
in the wild) declined 27% and pups are
dying of an unknown illness. They need
protection under the endangered species
act. Please write to ask Salazar to
protect these wolves: http://www.nrdconline.org/campaign/biogems_wolves_0309
Vermont... I'm honored to be among a group of Vermont filmmakers who are each working on segments for a film that explores the independent spirit and uniqueness of Vermont. This is an indy film in post production and completion is expected this summer. This project relies on donations & grants and can use your support. Please check it out: http://thevermontmovie.com/
